Clara's Little Friends

"Clara wished her migraine aura wasn't seeing her imaginary friends. While she was happy to see them again, she really didn't want her head to start hurting again."

The Migraine Hat Club

Tired of being alone with her migraines, Maggie C. decided to start The Migraine Hat Club on campus. She never imagined that four other girls would sign up as members within the first week.

Wig Heads Like Flowers, Too

I have a very talented artistic friend on MySpace who was creating mixed media Styrofoam heads, which gave me the idea for this collage. Since I don't have any Styrofoam heads laying around, I used a picture of one instead. Also, I was going to try to do something more with the background, but then I thought it might detract from the flowers. Lastly, I had a hard time picking out the background color, because I really wanted the colors to pop. I think the bright green works. Do you?

She Wanted To Marry For Love

"Beatrice knew the clock was ticking. Her father was going to disinherit her soon if she didn't get married, but she wanted to marry for love."

I love the group on Flickr called Art with a Story so that is why I wrote the little story to go with it. In this collage, I was trying to work on my backgrounds more, and I wanted to work on a more complicated composition with a vintage feel.

My Head-My Migraines-Me

I've had this image in my head for a while, about a mason jar representing my head and it's filled with migraines. I decided to use bald vintage doll head images for the migraines and then I got the idea to show how the migraines are trying to crowd me out if that makes sense. I found the vintage girl photograph at an antique store in Ypsilanti.

Fancy Cupcake Collage

Here is my latest cupcake collage. I used some scrapbook paper that I bought on sale at Joann's fabric. I like the way the gaps between the paper make it look more arty.
