I was trying to think of different types of materials to make cupcake collages from, like my wallpaper cupcake, when the foreign postage stamp idea popped in my head. I have a big bag of stamps that I bought off eBay, so I sorted them by color and started with the cupcake wrapper. I think it turned out pretty cool.

Recently, I decided to devote a Moleskine notebook to just cupcake drawings and doodles, so I've been sketching them in my spare time. One of the cupcake's frosting came out like a Kokeshi hairstyle and that's how i came up with the idea for these cute little girl cupcakes. I drew them by hand and then I used photoshop to color them in.

I've been working more on my doodling and these little critters popped into my head. I've been finishing them with a Sharpie and coloring them in with Photoshop. I'm not sure what to call these doodles yet.

I bought my first Ugly Doll recently and he has decided to live in my pink puffy kitty pencil bag where I keep my Sharpies. I think that he likes to smell them when he thinks no one is looking. I caught him in the act the other day!

For my four letter words, I used clippings from vintage True Romance type magazines from the 1960's. I love these old ads, and I decided to use "fear" as the theme since it seems to be all about worrying about what is wrong with your body. My favorite ad was about the "lazy bile."

I'm trying some different techniques with contact paper collages. I used tape pieces to make the rectangle boxes so the contact paper wouldn't lift the images off in those spots. Then I used ephemera and a wall paper flower between the background and the transfer.

I originally intended just to make a contact paper transfer of the fairy. I altered her clothes and I made her wings. Then I was going to lay her on top of the scenery, but it didn't feel right, so I decided to make the whole collage into a transfer. This is the most layers of paper that I have done with a transfer and I was so excited when it actually turned out.

I've been so wrapped up in trying to draw Kawaii and my own cartoon type stuff that I have been seriously neglecting my collages. I made these altered vintage postcards to help get myself back into the collage groove!
